Banking/Security Survey Results to Debut at RSA Conference
Annual Study Sheds New Light on Fraud, Compliance and New Services What are banking/security leaders' top spending priorities in 2010? How prepared are they for the most prevalent forms of fraud? What impact do they expect from banking regulatory reform? The answers to these questions are coming soon - and they may surprise you.
Results of the annual Banking Information Security Today survey will be announced at the RSA Conference in San Francisco on March 2. Tom Field, Editorial Director of Information Security Media Group (ISMG), publisher of BankInfoSecurity.com, will unveil these results in a presentation entitled "The State of Banking Information Security 2010," scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. in Orange Room 302 at the Moscone Center.
Now in its third year, Banking Information Security Today, a web-based research study, was created by ISMG in 2007 with the counsel of banking and security experts from across the U.S. The 2010 study explores how banking/security leaders respond to today's key banking issues, including:
- Economic recovery
- Fraud prevention
- Vendor Management
- Regulatory Compliance
- Emerging technologies
- Social networking
Survey results will be presented in a variety of ways across BankInfoSecurity.com and CUInsoSecurity.com, including an executive summary, annotated report, podcast analyses and a webinar in which survey respondents will be invited to listen to exclusive insight and analysis.
This is the second straight year that survey results will debut at the RSA Conference. "It's an honor to even be on the agenda of this prestigious event," says Field, who led the survey project. "But it's even more impressive to see the broad interest in our research. Last year's session was packed with practitioners, regulators, consultants and other observers who validated our belief that these survey results extend beyond banking and are applicable to organizations throughout the public and private sectors."
BankInfoSecurity.com is also a Platinum Media Sponsor of the RSA Conference, and the media site's representatives will be at RSA throughout the event, conducting interviews and providing ongoing news coverage.
In addition to BankInfoSecurity.com and CUInfoSecurity.com, ISMG also publishes GovInfoSecurity.com and HealthcareInfoSecurity.com.
