- What is a Membership?
The ISMG Premium Annual Membership is a means for information
security and risk management professionals to further their
education through targeted online training courses. Premium Annual
Members enjoy access to the entire ISMG webinar content library, and
have the ability to access said webinars at any time.
- What else is included besides the ability to attend
unlimited webinars?
Besides being able to attend unlimited webinars, Premium Annual
Members gain access to a transcript-tracking interface which details
all of the webinars attended along with other content accessed on
the ISMG network of websites. Through this interface, Members are
able to print “Proof of Attendance” certificates which may be used
towards securing CPE certificates. Other features and enhancements
will soon be released (see section below on Membership 2.0
Enhancements).
- I don’t work for a banking institution. Will I benefit
from the Membership?
Information security and risk management professionals in any
industry will benefit from the ISMG Premium Annual Membership. The
majority of presentations are purposefully designed so that any
information security and risk management professional, regardless of
industry, will be able to enhance their understanding of each topic
presented.
- I already attend industry conferences. Why do I need the
Membership?
While industry conferences do afford some level of networking
opportunities, the fact is that much of what goes on at these
conferences does not include true education and learning. With an
ISMG Premium Annual Membership, you can be assured that each and
every training webinar is 100% focused on true education and career
advancement. In addition, there are no travel expenses, time out of
the office, or non education-based social interaction.
- I am not a technologist. Will I benefit from the
Membership?
A subset of our training webinars do focus on more technical
topics, however the majority are produced for non-tech
professionals. Besides technology-focused training webinars, we
offer classes dealing with governance and management, compliance,
fraud, vendor management, and business continuity/disaster recovery.
- Is the Membership based on calendar year or is it based
on when I sign up?
An ISMG Premium Annual Membership persists for 1 year from the
date of registration.
- How do I pay for Membership?
You can purchase an ISMG Premium Annual Membership directly
through one of our websites or via a dedicated account
representative. We accept credit card payments, checks, and
electronic funds transfers.
- Can I add other members of my team to an existing
Membership?
There are two different types of Premium Annual Memberships –
Single and Corporate. Single Memberships are meant for one
individual; if you’d like to add other people you should upgrade to
the Corporate Membership which allows up to 5 individuals to be
included. If you have more than 5 individuals you’d like to include
in the Membership, contact your account representative for bulk
pricing options.
- Is Membership individual-based or for the entire
organization?
ISMG offers Single Annual Memberships meant for one individual,
or Corporate Annual Memberships which accommodate up to 5
individuals. We also offer bulk pricing options for more than 5
individuals or to accommodate an entire organization.
- Do I earn Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits
for the webinars I attend?
CPE credits are granted by certification organizations only. Many
certification organizations allow professionals to include
user-specified training when obtaining CPE credits. In such
circumstances, the certification organization has the right to audit
each professional’s user-specified training. If this happens, the
user must provide proof from the organization that provided the
training that they did, in fact, participate in the training class.
We offer “proof of attendance” certificates which can be used in
such circumstances.
We are not an official training sponsor for any certification
organizations, however Premium Annual Members have the ability to
print “proof of attendance” certificates which may be used towards
securing user-defined CPE credits.
